How much does counselling cost in Newfoundland and Ontario?

Counselling sessions are $160 for 50 minutes for individuals and $195 for 50 minutes for couples. Fees apply to virtual sessions for clients in Newfoundland and Ontario.

Are counselling fees covered by insurance, and do you offer direct billing?

Many extended health plans cover counselling services, and we offer direct billing where eligible through Telus Health. Coverage depends on your provider and plan, so we recommend confirming your mental health benefits before your first session.

Do you accept NIHB coverage for counselling?

Yes, NIHB coverage may be accepted for eligible clients. If you are covered through NIHB, contact us before booking so we can confirm eligibility and billing details for your situation.

Do you offer online counselling only, or in-person sessions too?

We currently provide online counselling sessions only through secure video. This allows clients across Newfoundland and Ontario to access care from home without travel.

What can I expect in my first counselling session?

In your first session, your therapist will ask about your background, current concerns, and goals for counselling. You can also ask questions about the process, discuss what support you need, and decide whether the fit feels right for you.

How long are sessions, and how many sessions will I need?

Most sessions are 50 minutes long. The number of sessions depends on your goals, the challenges you are working through, and how quickly you feel progress. Some clients benefit from short-term counselling, while others choose longer-term support.

What is your cancellation and no-show policy?

We require at least 24 hours notice for cancellations or rescheduling. Late cancellations and missed appointments are charged the full session fee.

How do I book an appointment?

What issues do you help with in counselling?

Counselling can help with anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, relationship challenges, grief, emotional regulation, and life transitions. We tailor treatment to your goals so you have practical strategies and consistent support.

What therapy approaches do you use?

We use evidence-informed approaches including CBT, trauma-focused CBT, DBT-informed strategies, Polyvagal Theory, Motivational Interviewing, Solution-Focused Therapy, and holistic supports such as nutrition-focused wellness guidance where appropriate.

Do you specialize in men’s mental health counselling?

Yes. Men’s mental health is a core focus of our practice, including support for stress, trauma, emotional disconnection, relationship strain, identity, and life transitions. We also provide couples counselling.

Do you provide counselling across Newfoundland and Ontario?

Yes. We provide virtual counselling for clients in both Newfoundland and Ontario. Online sessions make it easier to access support consistently, whether you are in a city, rural area, or working a demanding schedule.
