Who I Help
When Things No Longer Feel Right
Many men reach a point where something in life no longer feels right, even if they cannot explain why.
Stress becomes constant. Motivation fades. Anger surfaces more easily than it should. Relationships begin to feel strained, and it becomes harder to feel like yourself.
For some men, these struggles build slowly over time. For others, they show up after burnout, conflict, loss, or years of carrying responsibility without support.
Many men push through these patterns for years before realizing it may help to talk with someone who understands what they are carrying.
Professional Identity
My work brings psychotherapy and nutrition-informed mental health support into the same conversation when appropriate.
I am a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW) and a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), providing virtual counselling services to individuals and couples across Ontario and Newfoundland.
This integrated approach allows us to explore both the psychological and physiological factors that can influence emotional wellbeing.
Clients looking for Counselling for Men or support related to Integrative Nutrition for Mental Health often want a process that addresses more than symptoms alone.
Personal Background
My path into this work did not begin in a classroom.
I grew up in poverty in a home shaped by addiction and mental health challenges. Like many men, I learned early how to survive difficult environments and carry responsibility at a young age.
Those experiences shaped the direction of my life and ultimately led me toward a career in helping others.
Over the years, I have worked across several provinces in social work roles supporting individuals and families facing complex emotional and life challenges.
Why This Work Matters To Me
I have met many men carrying stress, anger, trauma, and responsibility without ever feeling they had a place to talk about it.
For many, the expectation has always been the same: push through, stay strong, and keep going.
I understand that experience personally, and it is one of the reasons I chose this work.
Therapy can offer something many people have never had before: space to speak openly, gain clarity, and begin making meaningful changes.
“Seeking support is not a sign of weakness.
For many men, it is the moment they begin to take their life back.”
My Credentials

Professional Background
Over the course of my career, I have worked in a variety of roles within the social work and mental health field, supporting individuals and families facing complex emotional, psychological, and life challenges.
My experience includes work in areas such as:
- mental health and counselling services
- trauma-informed support
- child protection and family services
- crisis and complex case work
- community and healthcare settings
In addition to my clinical training as a Registered Social Worker (MSW, RSW), I hold certification as a Certified Nutritional Practitioner (CNP), which allows me to incorporate an understanding of nutrition, stress physiology, and lifestyle factors that influence mental health and emotional wellbeing.
My Approach
My work is built around three connected areas that help clients understand what they are carrying, regulate what keeps them stuck, and strengthen the foundations that support lasting change.
Psychological Healing
Exploring emotional patterns, trauma, relationships, identity, and the internal struggles many men carry.
Nervous System Regulation
Helping the body move out of chronic stress states through practical strategies related to breathing, sleep, and daily rhythms.
Foundational Health
Exploring how nutrition, movement, and lifestyle patterns influence energy, mood, focus, and emotional resilience.
Why I Integrated Nutrition Into Mental Health
Through years of clinical work, I began to notice that many individuals struggling with anxiety, burnout, depression, and emotional exhaustion were also experiencing issues related to sleep disruption, chronic stress, blood sugar instability, and nutrient imbalances.
This led me to pursue formal training in holistic nutrition to better understand how physical health and mental health influence one another.
Today my work integrates psychotherapy with nutritional awareness and lifestyle considerations when appropriate, allowing us to support the whole person.
What Clients Often Experience
The goal of therapy is not simply to talk about problems. It is to help create practical, lasting changes that improve your day-to-day life.
a clearer understanding of their emotions and reactions
improved communication in relationships
reduced stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm
greater emotional stability and resilience
renewed motivation and sense of direction
stronger boundaries and healthier decision-making
Counselling vs Wellness Services
At Evolution Counselling & Wellness, services are divided into two distinct areas to ensure clarity and appropriate care.
Counselling services are regulated mental health services provided to clients in Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario. These services focus on trauma, emotional regulation, relationships, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns.
Wellness and nutrition services are non-therapy services available to clients across Canada. These services focus on energy, digestion, stress physiology, and lifestyle factors that influence overall wellbeing.
This distinction ensures that clients receive the appropriate type of support based on their needs.
Where I Work With Clients
Counselling (Therapy): Available to residents of Newfoundland and Labrador and Ontario
Wellness & Nutrition Services: Available across Canada
All counselling sessions are conducted virtually using secure video platforms.
