My passion for helping others stems from my own experiences growing up in poverty with an alcoholic father and a mother struggling with mental health issues. These challenges inspired me to pursue a career in social work. Since graduating with my Bachelor of Social Work in 1995, I have dedicated my life to helping others heal and thrive.
I believe that therapy is a journey of self-growth, forgiveness, understanding, and acceptance. My approach is holistic, considering the mind, body, and spirit as interconnected aspects of your well-being. I have extensive experience working with individuals who have faced various forms of trauma, family origin issues, depression, anxiety, and addictions. Additionally, I work with couples to help them build stronger, more fulfilling relationships.
As a father of five and part of a blended family, I bring personal experience and understanding of family dynamics, parenting challenges, and the joys and complexities of raising children in a blended household.
Having lived and worked across Canada, I have had the privilege of working with diverse cultural and ethnic groups, including extensive experience with Indigenous peoples. As a proud Métis individual, I bring a deep understanding and respect for cultural diversity to my practice.
Taking the first step towards therapy can be daunting, but it is also an empowering and courageous decision. If you are ready to embark on this journey of healing and self-discovery, I am here to support you every step of the way.
I look forward to meeting you and working together to achieve your goals.
Warm regards,
